Autumn blossoms = confusion in plant’s internal clock, caused by erratic weather or stress that makes it believe spring has come again.

• In nutshell, an autumn blossom is a wound inside.It looks beautiful but shows the tree’s distress, not its joy.

It's also used for a child born to parents after long time when they have aged.

• So, in that sense it could be used to denote a long overdue happiness.
