“One yearning remained unfulfilled my friend”, I had asked Morning-glory,
No sooner hearing this, jumped the rope as if it got twisted.

Gracefully I cast glances onto you,
Your serpentine tresses cascaded beneath your neck;
(Like curly) Hyacinths and (fragrant like) Basil Sweet—that will befit you, oh my friend.

Wenkui rang goam khaas Babray
Lolli sui thovtham lalvun naaro,
Che kyoho waatiyo Myani marnei
I am deep caught in quagmire, how will I tide over the day,
The wild peppermint colour took over my Sweet Basil like hue.
You kept the fondling fire within my bosom kindled,
What will you gain from my death.
Hee: Jasmine
خستہٕ دل گیسہٕ خراب، مسہٕ چِھوتھس شراب خارو

I, the desolate hearted, has become ruined, you intoxicated me by wine, O oenophile!
Relish the jasmine and roses, O beautiful captivating beloved.

Wetraavun pyome.
Golaale paanas kaale rang gome,
Wetravun pyome.
O My dear friend, the work is difficult, it has become a weighted burden.
I had to carry through, though.
My poppy like crimson body has become black,
I had to carry through, though.

Khaes wozil, barg chhaechie,
Chhes sorgich yimbirzal.
Vayri bomburinie gayas ha maechie,
Aawaaz waechi no!
(With) red cups and the white petals,
I am the yimbirzal of paradise.
In the longing of the Bumble-Bee, I became insane,
Did my lamentation not reach you?
Pamposh: Lotus 🪷

Ashiqinie naavi Dal neyr saeli,
Pamposh wuch kya chhi chhattie maaraan.
Suli suli aashiqov niy khael khaeli,
Yaar chiy saeli naeli naal.
Go out in love's boat to tour the Dal,
Look how Lotuses are frolicking.
The lovers pluck them early morning,
The beloved is touring within your bosom.
Kaechh: Himalayan Indigo
ؤژھ وٲنج ہاوۓ مٕژرٲوتھ

(احمد بٹوٲری)
Latiye Eid chham az roz yetiye,
Latiye az chhum Kosman kraav.
Maswale baagas ras log yetiye,
Latiye az chhum Kosman kraav.
O my beloved, stay here, for it's Eid for me,
O my beloved, it's my time to harvest the safflowers.
The Iris garden has ripened here as well,
O my beloved, it's my time to harvest the safflowers.
Aarewal posh: Wild Yellow Rose
تن نارٕ دٔز آرولہ، کیاہ کلہ کر ٹھراو
دیدار سٔتی بلہ، کیاہ کلہ کر ٹھراو
(صمد میر)
Tan naareh daezz Aarwaleh, kya kalli kar thahraav,
Deedar seeit balleh, kya kalli kar thahraav.
The fire of my body burnt the Wild Yellow roses, how shall I keep steady the longing,
Only glimpse (of beloved) will cure me, how shall I keep steady the longing.
Sosan: White Iris:
روٗد سوسُن اند مزارس، کوٗت ژالُن چُھس آزار
گولالن داغ روٹ در تن، چُھس چونُے امار
(صمد میر)
Ruud Sosan andh mazaras, kuut chhalun chhus aazaar,
Golalan daag rott dar tan, chhus choanui amaar.
The the White Iris has chosen the corner of graveyard, how great affliction it has to bear,
The Wild tulip has chosen stain on its body, it has your affection.
