60. Nomai Narri te Nomai Zangeh: Sheikh ul Aalam

Baba Nasruddin:

نومۓ نرٔ تہ نومۓ زنگۂ

یمنئ بو منگۂ یمۓ میے دِن۔

یِم یلۂ تھکنم ہنگۂ تہ منگۓ

ادۂ کَس بو منگۂ ادۂ کُس میے دیۂ

Nomai narri ti nomai zangeh,

Yimni bu mangeh, yimai mey din.

Yim yelli thakhnam hangeh te mangeh,

Adde kass bu mangeh, adde kuss mey diyi.

Translation:

These very arms and these very limbs,

I will seek their favours and they will oblige me.

When they will grow weak unexpectedly,

And then whom I will seek from and who will favour me.

Sheikh ul Aalam

یٔمی تھو زمین تہ آسمان کنگۂ

تس بو منگۂ تہ سُے میے دیہ۔

سُہ یلۂ روشم ہنگۂ‌ تہ‌ منگۂ

ادۂ کَس بو منگۂ ادۂ کُس میے دیۂ۔

Yemi thov zameen ti aasmaan kangeh,

Tass bu mangeh ti su mey diyi.

Su yelli roashem hangeh ti mangeh,

Adde kass bu mangeh ti adde kuss mey diyi.

Translation:

One who kept the earth and sky shielded,

From Him I will seek and he will bestow upon me.

If he may become displeased with me,

whom shall I seek favours from and who will bestow upon me?
