24. Sheikh ul Alam: Akha beehith wuchum...
اکھا ڈیوٹُھم بہتھ تختس
اکھ نِہ تس بود، بیی نہ تس کار۔
تُرْکا تہہ کران تِہندِس رختس
بختس بود چِھی خدمتگار۔
Akha dyuuthum bihith takhtas,
Akh ne tas bod, beyi ne tas kaar.
Truka tah karaan tihindis rakhtas,
Bakhtas bod chhi khedmatgar.
Dyuuthum: ڈیوٹُھم:
Bod: بود: Intelligence
Truka: تُرْکا: Intelligent
Rakht: رخت: Garments
Bakht: بخت: Luck
I saw a person sitting on a throne,
Neither has he intelligence, nor any work(sitting idle).
An intelligent (in his service) folding his garments,
Intelligence is servant to the luck.
اوْنا پالکھِ، اوْر دِتھ نکھ تس
اکھ نِہ تس ژیتس، تختۂ سیپار۔
عألما حأران، کامِٔن حاکھ تس
بختس بود چِھی خدمتگار۔
Onna paalkhi, orr dith nakh tas,
Akh ne tas cheytas, takhte sipaar.
Aaelima haeraan, kaamyin haakh tas,
Bakhtas bod chhi khedmatgar.
Onn: اوْن: Blind
Orr: اوْر: Fit (here person with good sight)
Paalkhi: پالکھِ: Palanquin
Cheytas: ژیتس : Mind/Consciousness
Takhte: تختۂ: Writing board
Sipaar: سیپار: Part of Quran
Kamyin: کامِٔن : Scarce
Blind in a palanquin, sighted lifting him on shoulders,
Neither has he mind, (nor) writing board (&) Qur'an.
A religious scholar is distressed, even collards-green scarce for him,
Intelligence is servant to the luck.
Note: The poorest of the poor can afford collards-green because it grows in abundance throughout the year.
Gist:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
“Surely Allah provides for whoever He wills without limit.”
(03:37~ Qur'an)
